Meet Evan Lucas

ECONOMIC FUTURIST

Our Future Behind the Numbers

I have loved markets since the days of sitting with my grandfather and mulling over his investment portfolios. What I learned from these early experiences is that investing habits and behaviours do not necessarily translate across families, generations or peers. This led me to become fascinated with behavioural finance.

Behavioural finance has driven my career, which has taken me to the Netherlands, the UK and back to Australia over the last decade and a half and my biggest learning from this time working in markets, investing and finance is that our individual behaviour towards money is always dierent and always changing.

One of the joys of what I do is communication all this on the likes of ABC News Brekky, The Today Show, The Project, Sky News, SBS World News, 6PR Perth, 4BC Brisbane, Money News as well as print media such as The Australian Financial Review, The Age, The SMH, The Australian and more.

My Mission

As an Economic Futurist I am always looking for what the future will be from the numbers and behaviours that are in front of us now.

My vision – to make the complex simple, leading to better economic and financial behaviour with our personal, professional and sovereign finances.

Whether it’s shaping our life choices, impacting the way we navigate social dynamics, or guiding critical corporate decisions, the “M-word” holds a unique power over us.

It’s easy to overlook the abundance we already have in pursuit of what’s next, leaving us disconnected from the progress we’re making.
